About the Danish Agency for International Education The Danish Agency for International Education is a government agency within the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation responsible for supporting the internationalisation of education and training in Denmark.

The Danish Agency for International Education is the national agency for two EU programmes within education: the Lifelong Learning Programme and Youth in Action, as well as for the Nordic Nordplus programme, and similar Nordic and Danish programmes and initiatives supporting cooperation and mobility.

The Agency is also the central authority in Denmark where persons with qualifica-tions from other countries can get these assessed and recognised.

Another important task for the Agency is to attract and retain international talent, for instance via the webpage www.studyindenmark.dk.

In addition, the Agency is an information centre concerning internationalisation of all the educational sectors.

The tasks of the Agency
The Agency has the following tasks:

  • To compile, disseminate and utilize knowledge about mobility and international cooperation within education.
  • To contribute to the participation of Danish educational institutions in international cooperation within education.
  • To promote and enforce outgoing mobility.
  • To promote and enforce incoming mobility. The goal is to attract and retain inter-national talent.
  • Recognition of non-Danish degrees, diplomas and certificates.
